ELC - Early Learning Center
The decision to stay at home or return to work is not easy.
Child care is short-term care by someone other than a
parent. There are two basic types of child care: individual
and group.
Finding good child care can seem overwhelming and a bit
scary. It is an important decision. But if you take your
time and do some research, you can find a place where
your child can play, learn and experience excellent care.
Individual providers care for only your child
or children. Examples include a family member
or friend, nanny, au pair, or babysitter.
Group providers care for your child and other
people’s children. Your child may attend a small
or larger home day care, or a child care center
such as the one at St. Anne.
The St. Anne ELC provides an environment that is
- safe
- appropriate for your child's age group
- right for your family values
- well staffed
- caring
- affordable
- reliable
- consistent
- convenient
Child Care assistance is provided to eligible parents to keep Illinois' families engaged in work
and training efforts, while on the road to self-sufficiency. Child care is the stabilizing force
that contributes to skilled, healthy residents in Illinois, successful businesses and strong
communities.
St. Anne is licensed through The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
DCFS is responsible for the regulation of out of home child care environments and the
administration of the publicly-funded child care program. Whenever the center is open, you
are welcome to come in for a tour of our facilities and to speak with one of our specialists to see
if you may qualify for subsidized funding.
